Summary: PROMAX WB1100 heavy-duty silica glass fabric welding blanket withstanding up to 1100°C working temperature and ~1600°C short-duration exposure, for protection against heavier sparks, spatter, slag and light molten splash.
Weldclass PROMAX WB1100 is a heavy-duty high-temperature welding blanket made from silica glass fabric, offering protection against heavier sparks, spatter, slag, light molten splash and intermittent flame. It has a maximum recommended working temperature of 1100°C, with momentary heat resistance up to around 1600°C, and gives off very minimal gas or fumes when burned.
At 1200 gsm, the fabric is heavier than the WB550 blanket for increased durability and insulation, yet softer and more flexible than standard glass fibre fabrics, making it well suited to protecting objects during grinding, welding, oxy cutting and gouging, as well as heat treatment and stress-relieving applications.
